Chateau d’Yquem has a very long lifespan: twenty, fifty, or even one hundred years… As with all great wines, Yquem transforms with age, acquiring a multitude of exquisitely nuanced aromas and flavours. Over the years, its hue transforms from the brightness of morning to the blackness of twilight, from sparkling straw yellow to golden brown with amber and caramel highlights, and finally to mahogany.
